62 Impala @ 14 years of age. I was told there was an old 64 pontiac sitting in a feild with a dual exhaust system and a posi rear end. I ended up taking the engine out of the impala and putting it in the Pontiac. Paid $35 for it
1970 Skylark Custom. I paid $750. After replacing the interior, fenders, doors, hood (GS), trunk lid, windshield, engine, transmission, grille, and rear bumper I had a pretty decent car!
I bought a beater 61 Comet 3 on the tree that needed a head gasket when I was 14 or 15, can't recall. I fixed it and drove it a bit on the farm before selling it. Also bought a 55 Chev parts car and sold parts off it to make a few bucks before I was 16.
My first "real" car was a 65 Canso Sport Deluxe that I bought a few weeks after getting my license on Valentine's Day, 1974. It was an insurance write off that a local guy bought, replaced left fender and driver's door, painted the whole car and sold to me for 500 bucks!

My first car was a '77 Pontiac Grand Lemans 2dr with the factory skirt's. I wish I had kept that car, loved the look of it. Made up for it by buying my '75 Grand Am 2dr 3 year's later in '89, still have the GA.
Mine was a '72 GMC 1/2 ton 350 with the farmer 4 spd. Got it when I was 16. My Grandfather sold it to me for a buck, but I had to put an engine in it. So ordered in an rebuilt through the Sears catalog and did the swap on the garage pad at the farm with an old front end loader tractor with crappy hydraulics.

first licensed insured auto at 16 was a 75 Monza hatchback 262 auto
Mine was a 1975 skylark at 15 yrs old. I still have the build sheet and the dog dishes off it. I crashed it before I turned 16 on a joy ride. I never did get to drive it legally. I bought a 72 Chev pickup lowrider after that. I was still 15 and on my second car!
1980 Pontiac Grand Prix SJ Car was a buddy of mines so I never transferred the ownership, just paid the ins. Had to do it that way, car was WAY to rotten to certify. Rear bumper and frame section fell to the ground about 2 months later. Decided to get rid of it when I was cruising down the road and you could see the window pillar bouncing...ended up as a field car!

First real car I bought and insured and registered(with my license) was a 65 Malibu SS, paid $2000, off a Chrysler car lot

1951 Chev 6 stick 4 dr sedan when I was 16. I bought it from my brother who wanted to buy a 1941 Chev 4 door sedan. Another brother bought a 55 Pontiac Laurentian 2 dr sedan that I wanted real bad and eventually bought and still own today. All 3 cars were real low mile cars at the time and were in exceptional condition. This was in 1970.
