Talk to a guy today and he said he did 50 of these and they were all silver.  They had the same striping as the GTO Judge.

No, all the ones we've seen so far have been Tempests.

I suspect if there had been 50 Jury Beaumonts someone on here would sure have heard of or seen one. The Cheetah didn't escape notice, so I doubt the Jury Beaumont would either.

I have a friend who has a Lemans jury car. He says the dealer (I belive  from Calgary )   couldn't get  GTO s so he got these  made up  or something like that .

And it would also be hard to believe that a different dealer could build a Jury. It would seem like copyright infringement or something if another dealer did it.

And why would a dealer build Jury Beaumonts if he already had Jury Tempests?

built by Stampede Motors in Clagary , as a dealer promotion.   I know of one  close to me , being  restored. I passed on it 15 years ago.. It was just a stripped out shell.

In all seriousness, I was fortunate to have a 1970 Tempest two door sedan in the family. It was bare bones, no radio, rubber floors, all it had was the American 350 even though it was an Oshawa build and PG trans. We called it our baby GTO. For the times it seemed to fly, I know it could do burn outs very well and my old man who would be 45 at the time was never hesitant to do them when urged on by a bunch or 12 year olds on board. 

The Stampede ad says 0-60 in 9 seconds which is definitely not special.

I like the colour of that Lemans but that graphic design looks terrible. I think the jury decal would look better without the fire ball and loose the back stripe. A little more thought into the idea with engine options and a better graphic design and would have sold more.

just talked to the guy this morning. He is 75 and memory not so good, he remembers 50 cars 25 auto and 25 manual most 350 some 400 and he did say that they were all tempest. There were no GTOs left so the owner came up with this idea. This guy worked there until 1972.

I'm not a fan of sticker options, no matter the vintage. This might be one of the first ever Canadian "sticker option" cars though...which still makes it as valuable as a $7 bill to me. This just shows the sleazy depths car dealers will stoop to in order to sell an otherwise unremarkable car.

The US got Yenko, Baldwin among others...in Canada we got stickers on stockers. Embarrassing.

I call it the Jury because I desire to eventually get the back end of the car painted to look like a 1970 LeMans "Jury" built by Stampede Buick-Ponitac in Alberta Canada. Only 26 original Jury's were made - sort of Canada's answer to the "Judge".

 Gorries  Toronto dealership) made one of the nicest 1967 Camaros ever. The Black Panther. They don't know the exact #s built ... around under 25. There are only 2 that they know that still exist.
