Another thread has a discussion going on 66 Canadian Pontiac B body consoles. It would likely be better off here so it can be found in the future. I'll see if I can move some of it here.

Kevin, I know this is old but I was just reading some older threads and noticed something. I know in 66 the full size Chevy and full size Canadian Pontiac use the same console. On 66 Chevys, only the Caprice had the woodgrain console top regardless of whether it was an automatic or 4 speed. . On Canadian Pontiacs in 66 the Parisienne or the Grande Parisienne had the woodgrain console top with a 4 speed console, at least according to your picture.
The Parisienne automatic console was the aluminum finish, the Grande Parisienne automatic console was the woodgrain finish. I wonder why an Impala SS with a 4 speed and a Custom Sport Pontiac with a 4 speed didn't use the same console in keeping with the "rhythm"?
Unless this car you bought has a Grande Parisienne 4 speed console?
Does anyone here have or know of another 66 Custom Sport factory 4 speed car? I don't think we've ever had one of those as a feature car.

We still need to see a Custom Sport 4 speed console though. I found a couple of low mileage automatic feature cars here and they are aluminum finish but I can't find a picture of a Custom Sport 4 speed console anywhere.

I found lots of 66 Custom Sports on the net, all autos and aluminium No 4 speeds. I found a few grand 4 speeds with wood grain

I'll have some time in just a little bit and I'll see if the parts book can shed some light.
I've never seen a Grande Parisienne with anything but woodgrain, but I only remember ever seeing one Custom Sport 4 speed. It was a 396 convertible, I was about 18 years old so I sure don't remember if it had woodgrain or aluminum!

This is from the Chevy parts book and the listing is identical to the Canadian Pontiac parts book other than you substitute "Custom Sport" for SS and "Grande Parisienne" for Caprice. Look at the top number and the bottom number.
So that confirms it, Kevin has an extremely rare Grande Parisienne 4 speed console in his convertible.
Not to say that one didn't slip by on the assembly line in a Custom Sport....not impossible.
It could be but that car just doesn't look like the type of car that someone would have bothered to do that with. It looks like it has just been someone's driver, never a "special" car.
I bet it's Grande Parisienne.
Sometime can you take some good pics of just the console and post them?

If it's a Caprice console it will have a little emblem on top of it on the wood, right at the back, or at least you will be able to see a spot where the emblem was.

If it's Grande Parisienne, there was only 89 others like it ever made! And that's assuming there weren't any Strato Bench 4 speed Grande Parisiennes were built.

Looks like M201T, a small T with a small 2 under it. Its definitely not the same 1/2 as the other one?

Maybe 1/2 CS Parisienne, 1/2 Grande Parisienne, lol.
LOL, yeah maybe it was like the lottery. 1/2 the CS cars got aluminum, 1/2 the CS cars got woodgrain.
That "1/2" is baffling. I was looking at it again today and I don't think I've ever seen that on a GM tag before.
Ever get a build sheet/gm vintage docs and compare numbers to find the 1/2?
