Wide track vs. Impala chassis
(

(Preview)
Rather than totally derail the "New York Times"thread (yeah, I know, I'm usually the king of derailing....) I figured I'd ask the question in a new thread. Are you guys saying there that you think the stock wheels from a late 60's Canadian Pontiac are different than the same era Impala? (to...

My Strato Chief turned 51 in May. It has 42,000 miles. It was up on the hoist the last while and when I walked by the other day, I noticed a puddle under the driver's front wheel. It appears my original shock absorber decided to leak out at such a young age and so few miles... Someone told me there is a company...

65-70 B rear spring spacers
(Preview)
Team, Has anyone used rear spring spacers on their 65-70 B Bodies? I have what I feel is the perfect rate in the rear, but unfortunately they have sagged a little since new. I'd like to put in another inch or so of lift, but I'm not going through the hassle of doing another set of springs. And air shocks are...

Anyone ever use Brakequip EZ Bend tubing?
(Preview)
I'm making new tranny lines for the project, so it'll have to be done just before dropping it in, when I get the trans attached to the motor. The old lines are going away with the 350 motor and TH400. I have steel 5/16 line, and man is the stuff ever hard! I can hardly bend it at all by hand, and the bending...

Suspension sits low and odd knock sound driving over bumps
(Preview)
Sometimes when I drive over a bump I heard a knock around the rear passenger door. What could be causing this?? I can't seem to figure it out. It almost sounded like the door was loose and was moving up and down. Anyone ever have this? Also I notice the vehicle sits low, I can't make it over a speed bump wit...

A little winter project
(Preview)
I took my car to Excelteck in Markham last week and had a few things done. I figured January would be a good time to get a few things done as the shop would not be as busy as the early spring. Here is my list. Replaced the brake lines with Stainless Steel, replaced the rear wheel cylinders and new rear brake s...

Apperently they are for the f41

My car has the 4 link rear end.
The pan hard bar has the big end and the little end .

I have heard there is a panhard bar that has a big end on both ends??
The axle is 12 bolt.
I'm wondering if the panhard on my car is incorrect.
It looks "short"
Both rear coils look like there "pulle...

Drum brake conversion
(Preview)
I have a mechanical background, understand the benefits of disc brakes, but why do so many seem to want to go to disc? I have put about 50 miles on my Parisienne, and I am pretty happy with the power drum brakes, and think it's cool original.

Brake line with single flare??
(Preview)
I removed the 6 inch brake line (approximately)
That goes from the flex line to the aluminum block on the drivers side.
The end that screws into the aluminum block was a bigger nut
And it had a single flare.
Is this right ???
Or did someone in my cars past make a line wrong??
