Getting ready for paint and are preping the dash and found a cam shaft build tag. I am told the motor is well built but have little data. Suposidly a 383 stroker has 488 gears now , cast heads, billet gold aluminum rocker arms! I found a cam build tag in the glove box data states Crower part #00244 grind#297...

Not sure of the history but the inspection cover on the diff has 10 bolts and I am in the middle of sourcing some gear that are drivable!!! 4:88 does not fiar well on the road!! wondering if this is the reason for the stall out when i put the car in gear.?? it`s a powerglide trans, when the 62 acadian is in park or neutral it`s fine, put the car in drive or reverse it stalls out!!! could it be a bad torque converter?? o`yes the idle is not set to low
