Has anyone converted an early GM from a fuel-only pump to a dual action, fuel & vacuum pump? Do they actually improve wiper performance? How do you hook them up? I read in another forum that the existing vacuum line from the manifold gets connected to the INLET of the vacuum pump, and the OUTLET fro...

Some of you follow my build thread, I never talk about the electric Power Steering system that I sell since 5 years now. Smart Charger ready!
(Preview)
Some of you know, I've got a 12 volts powersteering system in my Pontiac since last spring. You know also it's a 6 volts car. I don't want to switch to 12 since I really like the 6 volts, because it's reliable, and kind of bizarre for some folk. But, 6 volts system limit the capacity to add some accessories...

1951 Bumper Jack.
(Preview)
I'm restoring an Oshawa built 1951 Chevrolet, and am trying to determine the correct bumper jack. The car has been in my family since new, and Dad recalls it having a green base and ratchet mechanism. Is this correct for Oshawa built cars? Were Pontiacs the same? Post pictures if you have them plea...

How do I test overheating?
(Preview)
I am not sure if my car is overheating or if I have a faulty temp gauge. I ran my car and at halfway point on my gauge my engine block reads 89c, when the gauge shows that it is 3/4 towards the hot, the engine block reads 115c. I shut the car down at that point. I am not sure what the engine block temp should read,...
