im trying to put the new spark plug wires on but with the differnt sizes i cant get them to look good/look right!! Is there a method you guys use?? Its for a 283 with rams horn manifolds.

My question is this, did the 64 parisienne come with a big block option?, secondly if so how hard is it to get big block mounts for it, Also how does the exhaust rout for a big block under an x-frame vehicle? All these are for some pre planing to try and squeeze a 496ci stroker under the hood.

O.k. I was wondering about timing. I looked at the indicator on the block and it looks like this -- -- ----A -- -- -- ----O -- -- My first question is how do you know how to set the timing ie: 8 degree's BTDC my second Question is what is the base timing on a 283 2 barrel? Thanks in advance

This past winter put a 305 with a 2 speed PG, As there was a six in it originally it has 355 gears in it. I like to cruise around 60mph but tach is running around 2600rpm, at 50mph tach is 2200rpm, if I went to a 3:36 how much rpms could I drop at 60mph? I need to find the exhaust bits (collectors?) that go from the original rams horn manifolds which I think are 2 3/4 from bolt to bolt so i can weld up the rest of the exhaust again. I tried crappy tire but dident find them yet. Any local suggestions? Or should i just go to a muffler shop and ask them.

so, I go out to start thee ol 64 Custom Sport,, and she's dead. swap batteries and off I go. Odd.. next day ,, same thing with the fresh battery. Now I start diggin. Still running the original external reg. swap the alternator , as it was not charging. Still not charging. tap the reg , still nothing....
