Diesel Prices

Owned a diesel since 1998, most times here diesel is 5 cents difference from regular unleaded, higher or lower. Today diesel was $2.59, gas $1.62. Might as well say $1 more. Thats 60% higher and about $2500 to fill a semi.

1998 Silverado 4L60E wire harness metal clip

I disconnected the 2 wire harness connectors that are next to the shift cable, one has a metal horseshoe shaped clip that is the lock for that connector. The old one is rusted, I can't find a new one anywhere. I checked the GM dealer, NAPA, and online at Rockauto etc. Nothing. Any suggestions? Thanks, Do...

1998 K1500 part source?

GM part number 15656162, its the 4WD passenger side differential mount bracket. GM discontinued, I was hoping to find one with new bushings, like the 2 Moog upper control arms with bushings and ball joint that I found. No Moog listing, any idea where/if I can find one of these? Thanks, Don

So sad to see that terrible crash between a vintage P-63 and B-17 bomber in Dallas yesterday. I won't post video as it's disturbing to watch. I'm a huge fan of WWII planes (especially the B-17's) but I wonder why we can't be satisfied with fly by's instead of these planes doing simulated battle maneuver...

1998 Chevy/GMC frame specs?

I cant find the dimensions for my 1998 K1500 regular cab long box frame anywhere. I checked GMT400, the web, lots of stuff available for earlier and later. Should be the same 1988-1998. Nothing in the GM Shop Manual 4 volume set that I can find either. Anyone got any information?
