Tire and rim width question.

On my 67 Gp I'm running 15x8 Rallys with 255 70 15 T/A's. In corners the raised lettering on the rear tires will rub the odd time on the hooks for the fender skirts. The fronts will catch the outer tread blocks on the front wheelwell trim at full lock when reversing. It's obvious they're at the outer limit...
